Students do not need to purchase any textbooks or materials. A textbook will be
assigned to each student. Students should bring paper, pen, and pencil. Attending
classes solely from a cell phone device is detrimental to the student's success. Cell
phone connection by Zoom is not recommended for any students.
Your learning facilitator and/or intervention will review your assessment scores with you. Learning facilitator reviews the Microsoft Office assessment. Interventionist reviews the T.A.B.E and Digital Literacy assessment scores.
There are hours of material that can be done out of class to enhance a student's
understanding of the material. Students should spend two (2) to two point five (2.5)
hours per night studying the course material.
It takes an average of three (3) to four (4) months to prepare for the exam. Although
this varies by student, students will want to ensure to invest adequate time in the
course material.
Students should seek instructional support from the Learning Facilitator and academic support from the Interventionist and Student Success Specialist. Student peer groups may also form for additional support among students for course success.
There are several objectives and goals that must be met at regular intervals. This
allows students to know whether or not, the course material is being absorbed and
comprehended. May a student effectively respond to questions about the course
material? Students should plan to complete all assignments, and to participate in all
course activities.
